Is the Huawei Y6s really THAT bad?

My parents want to buy me a new cell phone because my 'old' cell phone is messing up a bit. You have already ordered it, and out of interest, I watched a few YouTube videos for this phone. Almost everyone said that this cell phone was TOTAL garbage, because of the 720p camera, CPU, RAM, inches and much more. I don't want to disappoint my parents, which is why I won't tell them about the videos. Still, I'm a little disappointed now. I already had THREE cell phones!

Now my question: is the Huawei Y6s really that bad that you would like to send it back? Has anyone already had experience with this cell phone?

Haven't and didn't have one, but based on the specs, I think I shouldn't personally like it. Also, as far as I know, there's no Playstore or other Google services built in.

A smartphone that doesn't cost 100 euro at Saturn can't be very good.

It's not a top cell phone now. More like lower to middle class. 3 GB RAM is no longer up-to-date and sometimes no longer sufficient. The display isn't the highest resolution either. 42 mbits antenna is enough, but it would also be faster. Camera won't be outstanding either. For the standard things like WhatsApp Instagram and TikTok it will be enough. CoD mobile won't work. But I would never buy Huawei anyway because they don't have a Google license and therefore no PlayStore.

Other cell phones are now available for just under 100 euro. If I should recommend any to you, let me know and give me a budget.

42 Mbit / s refers to UMTS. With 4G / LTE it supports Cat. 6 (i.e. 300 Mbps Down, 50 Mbps Up).
What is more of a problem is that it does not have the LTE band 28 (700MHz) and 32 (1500MHz). Band 28 will be expanded to 5G and 4G at the same time via DSS (Dynamic Spectrum Sharing), but you will not be able to dial in with it.

OK

The smartphone is poorly equipped in terms of hardware. The CPU is not good, RAM could also be 1GB.

It also has no LTE band 28, which you should have by now, as Telekom, Vodafone and O2 are expanding LTE on it.

That's really okay for the price

but that too no longer has Google services.
