I made a Whatsapp backup on my Huawei. Then I registered with my Samsung cell phone in whatsapp and was also automatically verified but the old chat histories are no longer there.

Why? How can I restore them?

I don't know if it works, but you could delete WhatsApp on the Samsung phone, then reinstall it and log in.

Maybe the backup will be loaded completely after verification.
