Good smartphone - Xiaomi or something else?

I'm currently looking for a successor to an iPhone 6. Apple's pricing structure is simply ridiculous, so these models are not available. Current models from Huawei, on the other hand, no longer seem to have Android or Google services (yes, I know that one could work around that, but I'm more interested in the original state).

The Xiaomi brand caught my eye during my first research, does anyone have experience with it and can report?

In your opinion, which models are recommended for someone who does not use games or social media but is just looking for a lot of memory for music and reliable functionality?

E.g. The Mi Note 10 Lite is available for 255 euro

Xiaomi fits. I have the Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro 128GB version and can't complain

The only drawback is that you only have 2 start pages because of the Poco Launcher, but you can fix that with another launcher or you can use the appliste

I found an article on this at heise: https://www.heise.de/...13428.html

"Xiaomi defended his approach in a statement to Forbes and initially called the allegations incorrectly; privacy is very important for the company and all legal requirements in a country are adhered to. A company spokesman confirmed, however, that the data were collected, but they are anonymized and the user consented to the data collection. Xiaomi insisted that no data is transmitted in incognito mode, which contradicts the discoveries made by Cîrlig and Tierney, among others, which were documented by video. "

Just because of these opaque and different statements, I would consider it. Don't get me wrong - all smartphones use and analyze data. But with any of the off-the-shelf brands, you're likely better protected and able to install more established add-ons / apps that protect your privacy.

For example, here is a guide for more data protection on an Android device → https://startpage.com/nix-zu-verbergen/anleitungen/so-schutzt-du-deine-daten-auf-dem-mac-und-ios

I've been using a Xiaomi myself for almost a year. Before that, I was a mad Samsung fan with no eye for other manufacturers.

Great manufacturer, with a reliable update policy, good workmanship at low prices.

So far, the battery life has turned out to be a drawback, which was much better in the earlier versions.

According to the given requirements, I would look around for a Poco X3 NFC or Mi 10T Lite.

What battery life are we talking about?

Sounds like it's worth taking a closer look.

With my current device, I don't know exactly how it turned out earlier, but a few hours shorter. Which is not hot that you can't get through the day, but it used to be up to 2 days, which is now quite scarce.

Absolutely! All providers have more or less problems with data, but for example for Android devices there are guides on how to make smart settings for data protection. I wouldn't be so sure about Xiaomi.

Ja

Oneplus is recommended. If you don't want to stray so far from the price range, the Oneplus Nord would be a good choice…

Does the part have Android or which alternative OS?

Android yes
