What should I buy for a new smartphone?

I'm currently researching what new cell phone to buy.

I currently have an older Huawei phone, which is actually still okay, but the battery life is a disaster.

This time I'm definitely ready to invest a little more money, just the more research you do, the more difficult it will be.

OnePlus, Xiaomi, Samsung, Huawei…

So much choice…

Essentially, it should be a solid / good device in all areas.

My requirements are:

preferably Android phones
very good battery life
solid to good camera
minute 6 GB RAM
good powerful processor
good display
minute 128GB internal memory (ideally expandable)

I saw that Samsung will soon launch its new s20 series, unfortunately their models are very expensive.

Xiaomi will also soon be launching its new Mi 10. Should I rather wait for it, it looks quite promising on paper and they are much cheaper than the new Samsung models.

At the moment, the Asus Zenfone 6, the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite are on my list of devices that I take a closer look at.

What do you say? Which smartphones would you currently recommend to me?

Huawei P30 pro ready.

I can recommend Samsung smartphones because I have years of experience. The Galaxy s20 will be very expensive in the next few weeks, but that should change in the next few months. The price of the s10 Plus currently fluctuates at 600 euro. If you want to buy one in the next few days I can recommend the s10 Plus because I also have it. You also have a 1 year warranty on software updates and 1 year warranty on security updates.

Certainly also a good smartphone.

Unfortunately, I don't like this angular design at all.

At the moment I also have the newer Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite on my slip.

Wouldn't that be a similarly strong alternative to the grade?

I believe the design is not for everyone, everyone has their own taste. The best thing to do is go to a specialty shop where you can view the Samsung smartphones properly and have them explained to you.

The Mi 10 has already been introduced. Best camera according to Dxomark (124).

Next time at least mention that you have to sideload the Playstore, which is not a matter of course for everyone. Finished.

I had something in my head that all models released before the dispute with the USA are still supplied with Google Apps as normal.

Then at least mention that this will currently only affect the Mate 30 series, and then probably the P40 series.

The Playstore is preinstalled on the P30 series. Because at the time when it came out, the Google license still existed. 😉
