Huawei sanction, no Android anymore. Can the PlayStore be missing in the long run?

My question is addressed to all devices that have already been purchased in the last weeks, months.

Here is the Android system already installed. To what extent does this concern the sanction?

Am I right that it's all about updates? How "bad" is it, if that were the case? Is it possible that a large number of apps will stop working because they need a newer Android?

Is it possible that the PlayStore in the future for already purchased Huawei is no longer available?

Oa

These are not sanctions, but ridiculous allegations of Trump.

He will row back, at the latest when the Chinese no longer produce Apple products or the Apple products are sold at outrageous prices, because they are made in the native America. Trump wants to produce the American products in their own country. So wait.

That's how it was with the customs duties.

The trade conflict between the US and China is getting worse. Google discontinues business collaboration with Chinese smartphone maker Huawei and revokes the official Android license. Thus, future Huawei smartphones can only fall back on the open source version of Android. This means slower updates and no more Google apps and services - including no official Play Store access. We explain the background and consequences for consumers.

US put Huawei on black list
With the withdrawal of the Android license, Google is implementing US government regulations. Last week, Wednesday, May 15, President Donald Trump proclaimed the national IT emergency. Via https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/executive-order-securing-information-communications-technology-services-supply-chain/ he decreed that US companies are only allowed to trade telecommunications hardware and software with countries that are at risk for US cybersecurity with special permission.

The step was little hidden on Huawei aimed. And so it happened: Huawei Technologies Co Ltd was blacklisted a day later, on May 16, by the US Department of Commerce. As a result, transactions with US companies are extremely limited and only possible with special permission.

Google now follows these guidelines, as https://www.reuters.com/article/us-huawei-tech-alphabet-exclusive/exclusive-google-suspends-some-business-with-huawei-after-trump-blacklist-source-idUSKCN1SP0NB already reported on Sunday. Other US companies such as Qualcomm and Intel must comply with the provisions.

+++ Update (May 21): The https://www.commerce.gov/news/press-releases/2019/05/department-commerce-issues-limited-exemptions-huawei-products has granted Huawei a 90-day grace period in respect of the trade restrictions. Until August 19, the Chinese manufacturer has been granted a license to continue its operations for smartphone users and rural network operators. This would create a transitional phase in which the affected users and providers can respond. +++

What are the consequences for Huawei customers?
Meanwhile, Google has confirmed the steps via the official https://twitter.com/...8332988421. At the same time one tries to calm users of Huawei smartphones. Google's services like Google Play and Google Play Protect should continue to work on current Huawei devices without any problems.

The presidential decree for future Huawei products could have significantly more noticeable consequences. According to the current state of knowledge Huawei can now only use the open source variant of Android (known as Android Open Source Project, AOSP). This would result in slower system updates as not all Google changes go directly to AOSP.

For Huawei users, this means specifically: The https://www.connect.de/...99395.html and the monthly security updates could be delayed in the future.

Google's services like the Play Store or YouTube, Gmail, Chrome and more will disappear from future Huawei devices. While this is already the case in China, the restriction for Huawei in other markets, such as Europe, is likely to be a significant competitive disadvantage.
