Back up cell phone data despite a defective screen?

My cell phone (Huawei P20 Pro) broke last night and now it has a black screen. I tried to load the photos and Co. Onto the PC, but most programs require "USB Debugging" which I can no longer activate…

Are there other options, if you don't really know the state of the cell phone, which work without USB debugging?

All that remains is to have the screen repaired or otherwise ask an electrical shop whether they can back up data despite the defective screen

Repair remains unanswered because I have already ordered a new one. I just want to save the pictures and the rest is my sausage and I don't want to spend a fortune on that.

Then you should make a data backup e.g. At Mediamarkt / ask for it. It doesn't cost as much as 10-20 euro depending on how long it takes

USB debugging is a feature for developers and shouldn't be required. Nevertheless, you have to allow access to the internal memory. The result is the same.

You can get a USB Type-C hub with HDMI. This allows you to mirror your mobile phone screen on a television or monitor or use Huawei's desktop mode.

With the additional USB ports you can connect a mouse and keyboard. So you can use your smartphone.

Since you can no longer connect your smartphone to a PC, you have to secure the data in another way. You can either connect a USB data carrier such as a USB stick to the hub or transfer the data wirelessly. You could either upload them to the cloud, NAS or directly to your PC (e.g. Via SMB).

Any USB Type-C hub should be compatible with your P20 Pro. For safety, the hub should be powered externally.
