I ordered this Usbc to Hdmi cable on amazon https://www.amazon.de/...083YXXGPF/ to transmit my cell phone signal (Huawei p20 lite) to my projector when camping. Unfortunately, whenever I have connected the cable, there's no signal on my TV and on all other devices.

This is not possible with your p20 Lite. This is called MHL adapter but your cell phone can't. Too old. This is because your cell phone only supports USB 2.1, but has a USB c interface. For this you need USB 3.0
For this to work, your smartphone must support "MHL", but it doesn't.
