How much memory does an audio recording take?

I have a Huawei P10 Lite and wonder how much memory (in MB) is recording an audio. Find on my device no information… So: How much memory takes a zb. 1 hour audio recording?

With the preinstalled app you need about 1.2 MB per minute.

That's a lot, I thought it would be much less…

If you download music somewhere, it takes about as much space.

Unfortunately, nothing is found in the operating instructions or the technical data. It's best to take a picture and export it to your computer so that you can see the file format and the resolution (kbps).

With a high-resolution MP3 with 320 kBit / s it is in any case 2.34 MB / minute and / or. 141 MB / hour.

Depends on the bitrate:

The smaller the bitrate, the less consumption, but also less quality.
