JBL Box can't find a cell phone?

I got a JBL Charge 3 Bluetooth music box and today I got a Huawei P30 Pro new edition, but the cell phone does not find the box, despite frequent restarting and trying. I was still able to connect to the old cell phone (Huawei P20 Lite) without any problems. Is my current cell phone "too new" for the box?
