Hard decision between iPhone 11 and Huawei P30 Pro Which one should you choose?

I currently tend between the Huawei P30 Pro and the iPhone 11 64 GB. The decision is very difficult. For the Huawei speaks the favorable price. For 550 euro you get now new equipment. Zoom and night camera are outstanding.

The iPhone has the best speakers, which suits me very much. Also camera technology was enormously upgraded here. The price of about 850 euro is however steep.

The decision must be carefully considered. What would be the best solution here?

ra

I think the decision is not difficult.

With the iPhone 11 you get for over 800 euro the cheapest version of the three new models from Apple. More like the p30 or even lite.

With the P30 Pro you get for 200 euro less in almost all aspects better smartphone and the flagship Huawei can easily compete with those of other manufacturers.

El

Please read again and correct his statement. Comparing the iPhone 11 with a Lite model is not exactly proof of competence.

Just as a thought support, the Apple built A13 Bionic is currently the strongest Soc on the market.

Ed

In all aspects I would not say. The videos and speakers are far better on the iPhone. The difference is really extreme here.

Huawei has a very strong photo camera with zoom function. The desktop mode is a big added value. The battery life excellent.

The trend is towards the P30 Pro. Where the decision is still difficult.

How about an all-rounder like the Galaxy S10e, S10, S10plus?

Is a top all-rounder and definitely worth his money.

In principle all flagships of the big manufacturers are at top level.

You have to decide on your preferences, that is, what is important to you.

Samsung has it m.M.n. Made to deliver a top overall package. A Volkssmartphone, so to speak.

Huawei, Apple are already designed for a more specific audience.

I'm guessing from Huawei at the moment, because the P30 has no direct access to apps through the Google Play Store due to the US trade dispute. From the cameras, the P30 Pro is great. These are not quite as good on the iPhone 11, but the iPhone has a good night mode. As others have mentioned, I would also look at other Android devices. Personally, I prefer iPhones, but that's a matter of taste.

Ma

It all depends on what you value. The P30 Pro is certainly price performance significantly better. But that does not mean it's the better device for you. Let's see what the individual devices speak:

P30 Pro:

* strong zoom camera

* better display

*(greater)

* (more modern design)

iPhone 11:

* better overall camera (except for the zoom)

* Faster but above all, clearly future-proofed by the A13 and iOS

* Some details: better speakers, FaceID, AppleTV + one year free, (nicer design)

Overall, I would therefore consider the above points times. If there's no winner here, the discussion is reduced to two points: price and operating system. Do you have the money for the iPhone? Is the money a shame if you have to spend it on the iPhone or does the extra money hurt? If so, then stay with Huawei.

Do you like iOS? Do you use any more Apple products (through which does iOS reach its full potential)? What distinguishes iOS from Android? IOS is much simpler and more intuitive in my opinion. In addition, much attention is paid to details (you can tell by the scrolling behavior of the various devices). With Android, you can customize more and have more features. Even if you plan to work with many third-party apps (including games), Apple is better. Not only does Apple offer many exclusive apps and games, they are also much better optimized for the device. Maybe you should also consider AppleArcade and AppleTV +. What I think is the biggest point for iOS is that there are updates for up to 5 years. So if you want to use the device for several years, grab the iPhone. I do not have to go into Android as you are probably using Android itself.

What would I buy? I own some Apple devices myself, and above all points such as app quality and longevity are important. That's why I would use the iPhone. Your situation could be very different.

Speaker
Personally, I did not get any smartphone speakers, which I thought was "good".

If you do not want headphones or earphones, use cheap Bluetooth speakers on a smartphone, and even those sounds a lot better than the built-in speakers.

The point would be irrelevant for me anyway.

camera
I doubt that you or most of the other people would notice a difference, whether the picture was photographed with an iPhone 11, Huawei's P30 Pro or even with a Samsung Galaxy S10.
Considering that most of them only use the automatic mode and awful filters…
In addition, the images are uploaded to any platform or sent via a messenger, which compresses the images anyway (quite strong).

And for the professional or semi-professional area anyway other devices would be recommended.
Unless, of course, you'd like to become one of those pathogens, who anyway blabber everything with blur of death and various ugly filters.

memory
The Huawei P30 Pro has three models with different storage, but I suspect you would take the lowest (128 GB).
On the iPhone, you would eventually take the model with 64 GB.

The Huawei P30 Pro would, if I remember correctly, again the ability to insert a memory card to expand the memory.
For iPhone, however, not (there were ways and means, but these, for me, are only partially useful).

Pictures alone can consume a lot of space:
If I use the 40 megapixels with my Huawei P20 Pro and save the image as RAW, then a picture needs nearly 80 MB.
Will probably be used quite rarely, but should keep in mind.

As you are with music, I do not know, personally, I'm not a fan of streaming services, like Spotify, Amazon music, etc., I copy my songs to the device in a classic way to hear them and that also takes up some storage space (but Also, various factors play a role, such as the length of the song, the compression and the bitrate).

In any case, I would not use a device that would not have at least 128 GB, unless I could expand the storage space, then I would, depending on me, consider.

design
Calling many as a reason to buy, but I have to admit that for me smartphones basically all look the same.
Without lettering, I would not realize if it was now a device from Huawei, Apple, Samsung, Xiamoi, Cubot, HTC, Sony, shaver or something else.
So the point is just there to be there.

power
For many a person certainly a very important point.
On the other hand, I always ask myself what these people want to do with their smartphone.

I watch several films, cut a cheap video from time to time, use it for various long-distance connections, play a game from time to time… I could until now with every smartphone that I had and always went quite fix.

When I bought my smartphone I was aware that it is not the most powerful smartphone, but as I said: I lack the knowledge of what you should do with the performance at all.
Even now, I do not even really irritate my smartphone.

Android - iOS
There's already a lot to read about the differences, and you probably know which one suits you better and which one you like more.

For me personally, iOS falls away, because you are not able to easily copy songs by dragging and dropping them onto the device and it does not work from the device to the PC at all.

For me, iTunes is like the unwanted and unloved big cousin nobody knows and nobody wants.
Especially for someone, like me, who often changes the "place" and thus uses several computers.
Spontaneously copy a song from another computer to the iPhone?
Nope. Download iTunes and sync the part (thanks for nothing) or download the necessary drivers and try another software like "CopyTrans" (which often worked, but sometimes had its quirks).
Copy from iPhone to the calculator? Nope.

In any case, I doubt that changed in the meantime.

With Android, I just connect the part to any computer, pick a folder and copy everything up, w

Huawei P30 Pro! = Huawei Mate 30 Pro.

The Huawei P30 Pro has the Google Play Store, Apps. Can be downloaded as usual, and the update to Android 10 (Android Q) has already been confirmed.

Pa

Thanks for the hint!

I confused it with the recently introduced Mate 30 Pro:

The Galaxy S10 has a relatively weak battery life. In addition, it feels in my opinion not high quality due to the low weight. Otherwise, the S10 is still one of the best devices. Solid in all areas.

Sy

Not as good as other devices yes. But as weak I would not designate the battery life.

ra

The comparison referred only to the mobile phone in the product line. Of course it's technically on a completely different level but that does not justify the price.

The processor is also the latest in the market and yes in the benchmark probably top of the art. That makes the Kirin of the P30 Pro but not worse. It is much older but it is easy enough to handle all applications fluently. So that's not an argument.

ra

Yes with the videos, I agree with you. But honestly, what are you filming and need it really 4k with 60 frames, or even less?

The speakers are actually a weak point in the P30 because there's only one. And thus only stereo sound. But when I'm listening to music, I tend to use Bluetooth headphones or speakers. So that does not bother me. The battery is actually the hammer and with the power adapter it charges just as quickly. Such an iPhone is not in the accessories, only incidentally.
