I currently have a Huawei P10 Lite. In my opinion, I find the performance good but not perfect. That's why I looked on Amazon which phones from the reviews, the best performance (camera, processor, battery…) has. I came after some time on the iPhone 7.Yes, I know, is not the cheapest smartphone. I have never had an iPhone. That's why I have no idea if that's the right phone for me. Is it worthwhile to switch from the Huawei P10 Lite to the iPhone 7?

I would not do it in your place. I'm sure you'll get more power for the money if you buy an Android, maybe a Huawei. Apart from that, an iOS can make a real headache if you're used to Android.

You can't stop many things that are taken for granted on Android, like the icons or the whole launcher. In addition, the Android app selection is much larger, and many games that you would have to pay for iOS are free on Android. You also have much more rights as an Android user, and with simple apps from the Play Store you can automate everyday life with macros. I'm pretty sure that with iOS, or at least not in this range of functions is possible. For example, you can set the phone to automatically mute when you enter a specific location, or play music when the phone connects to the home system. (google times MacroDROID, then come some alternatives)

Even connectivity is better on Android, if you buy an Apple device, it is much more difficult to communicate with devices other than Androids. For example, the data transfer: Apple absolutely needs its own connection and turns itself otherwise also against connection with non-Apple devices. Androids all use the same port (now the standard is changing from microUSB to USB TYPE-C) and transferring settings and user data to a new phone is much easier.

As you have already described, the iPhone 7 is not exactly cheap. To clarify whether the purchase is worthwhile, I compare the two smartphones for you.

The main difference is of course in the operating system. While the iPhone uses iOs, the Huawei P10 lite has Android. You have to decide for yourself what you like better. Both phones have a 16: 9 touch display in portrait format. However, the Huawei display is larger by 0.5 inches and has a much higher pixel density. For the iPhone 7 is a little smaller, thinner and lighter. The processors and graphics processors are very similar and there are hardly any differences. However, the Huawei P10 lite has 4GB of RAM, the iPhone 7 only 2GB. The battery of Huawei is almost twice as large with 3,000 mAh, as with the iPhone 7. Both batteries are not interchangeable and not inductive loadable. With the internal memory, the iPhone 7 has just as much or more capacity (depends on the model) as the Huawei P10 lite. For the Huawei smartphone is expandable in contrast to the iPhone 7 with an SD card. Next advantages of the Huawei P10 lite unlike the iPhone 7 is the LED notification, the MirrorLink function, a headphone jack, radio, the night mode in the camera app and the quick charge function. Other advantages of the iPhone 7 are the gesture sensor, a flash for the 2nd camera, an image stabilizer and a 3D touch display.

Now you have to decide what is important to you and how you like the designs of the mobile phone. I would advise you to keep your Huawei P10 lite for many benefits (see above) and not spend so much money on an equivalent or maybe even worse phone. If you've got along well with Android now, you will not find it at Apple anymore.

I hope I could help you For further questions just ask.
