A few days ago the Huawei p10 fell into the water. Since I was able to react fast enough, only the upper half of the phone got wet. I dried the phone (no heating) and I looked at it after a while. It had to reset because of a system error and then I look at the camera and see that there are still water in both camera lenses from Leika (back). I'm trying to dry it with the rice method because I'm also afraid to get a short circuit. Can this really work because you can't remove the back and because battery… Need urgent help
If there's water in the lens, you have to get this out. I would go to a repair service in your place that can remove the glass so the water can get out before the lens gets damaged.
Otherwise you do not have much left to use than the rice technique.
Oh you see how I see I just look at the phone and I see that it just ma has survived only with rice. Camera works great without any traces.
