I currently own the Huawei P20 Lite - the camera is super weak.
But since I often like to capture moments with a camera (especially with poor lighting), I'm currently looking for an inexpensive smartphone with a focus on a powerful camera.
The OnePlus Nord was recommended to me here and in fact it seems to be the smartphone with the best camera in this price segment for the current price of 399 euro. I would not like to exceed the 400 euro limit.
What do you think of the OnePlus Nord?
Do you know a better alternative?
Or even a basic tip according to the motto "wait another 3 months until the mobile phone XY is cheaper" or something similar?

If the Samsung M51 has the camera quality is really good, even in a direct comparison with its P40 Pro, it doesn't poop that much.
I wouldn't necessarily call the cameras of the OnePlus Nord a strength.
The specified quad camera is actually just a dual camera. The depth and macro sensors can be given away.
The main camera is quite decent for the price, but the ultra-wide-angle camera also drops in quality. During the day, the ultra-wide-angle camera can be very useful.
The Nord has the strengths in performance, software and display incl. 90 Hz.
Otherwise I would recommend the Google Pixel 4a for 340 euro.
It only has one camera on the back, but it can also convince in weaker light. Google regulates a lot through the software.
Again, the Pixel 4a isn't quite as strong as the Nord in terms of performance and display. When it comes to Stock Android from Google vs. For OxygenOS, it's a matter of taste.
A strong smartphone camera is still a weak camera. What speaks against a decent camera? Doesn't have to be a system camera, maybe just an "elegant compact"
Yes, the OnePlus Nord is among the most popular and the camera is definitely better than the P20 Lite.
However, the Pixel 4a as a package is the most popular in this price range.
The Galaxy A71, Xiaomi Pocophone F2 Pro, Xiaomi Pocophone X3 and the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 (108 megapixels!) Should offer better cameras.
For 400 euro, you can get entry-level cameras that are of much better quality, such as the Canon EOS M100.
