Fingerprint sensor doesn't work?

I have a Huawei P20 pro and since yesterday afternoon the fingerprint sensor has stopped working or the "home button" in general.

If I enter fingerprint ID in the settings and press it, it blows me back to the start screen page.

Perhaps someone happens to know what that is and what you can do there?
