I swap my old Samsung Galaxy S7 for a Huawei P30 and continue to use the old SIM card to take over the phone number, all data and apps. Do I have to pay attention to something special or do it so that everything works? Dubbing apps or something similar?
As a rule, when setting up the smartphone, you should have options at the beginning of whether you want to transfer the old data from the old device. It may also be that an app from Huawei is needed.
You can do this over the Wi-Fi or a cable so the data is transferred from one device to the other that when you switch on the mobile phone it is immediately asked whether you want to carry out a data transfer and at least I know the method with my other devices I had or have
When changing the SIM card to the Huawei cell phone, the maximum number of contacts stored on the SIM card is maximum (usually you have to save this separately on the SIM card!). The information on the SIM card is also only "minimalist", i.e. Name and telephone number.
However, the Google account still works on the P30. This means that you can transfer a lot and without great effort.
Set in the old mobile phone in the Google account that everything is synchronized (contacts, Google Playstore apps, calendar).
First set up the Google account in the new mobile phone (nothing new!) And switch on the synchronization.
It takes quite a while, because it's all over the internet!
The data of the apps (registration, scores, etc.) are not transmitted by any app! This is only possible if the old cell phone is rooted.
Another method (if the internet access is very slow or if there's no internet connection) is the transfer with a PC and corresponding apps.
