Cell phone reception with different cell phones?

I have a Huawei Mate 10 Lite and my friend has an I Phone 8.

We both have telecoms.

How can it be that he has 4G Internet with his i Phone in the exact same place after he has switched on and off offline mode once and if I do it exactly the same if I have E Internet or no network at all?

ca

It can be clear, cell phones are different. I once had an Honor 7, which had a really bad reception. No comparison to my Nokia 7 Plus that I had afterwards. My current Xiaomi Mi 9T has even better reception, that I even have two bars in my radio hole at home, where even with the Nokia no reception was possible.

Since the same conditions are otherwise present, it can only be due to the end devices, right? Apple is just overpriced electronic waste ;-)

BTW, you both have telecommunications? So really Telekom or a discounter that uses the Telekom network?

What do you have to pay attention to so that you have a good reception?

ca

Now when buying a cell phone or in general? When buying a cell phone, you just have to look at tests. In general, you should not be in a damp basement with a blanket of air-raid shelter if you want good reception.

Pa

Yes, generally when buying a cell phone so that I have a good reception.

As I said, look at tests. There are some testers who also test the reception. On the page kimovil.com there's a test for scores from 0 to 10 broken down with the point "connection", which already gives a good guideline.

Each cell phone model has its "own" transmission and reception strength. So there are "strong" and "weak" cell phone models.
