I'm 14 and I often help my parents for 4-6 hours on weekends with work on the house that we rent out (which theoretically gives them money). And by the way, I don't get any pocket money. Do I now have a right to mobile data and or wages with which I could pay it myself in case of doubt because (as far as I know) at 14 you can spend your money in moderation and by the way, my parents will soon be able to buy a new cell phone say I should buy a wiko lenny 2 (which the experience of known people doesn't seem to be too good) but I want a Huawei p20 or 30 possibly also a mate 20. Can I decide for myself or have a say, since it's my money is with who I buy it
No.
You have no claims.
Also in § 1619 BGB there's no mention of pocket money.
Not even on mobile data, even if I pay for it with my own money?
Up to the age of 18 you have limited legal capacity and can usually conclude contracts Only complete with the approval / consent of your parents.
Then start doing the math, clothes that you get from your parents, something to eat and drink every day, a roof over your head with your own furniture that your parents paid for, what is paid for you on the side you would have to put a big chunk on top of the wage you would like to have and give it to your parents, and if you have something over that then you can buy a cell phone, but only then will there be more debts.
You are not entitled to pocket money or anything else, but they can't commit you to work 4-6 hours. If they force you to, it should be child labor.
"Child labor is work performed by children for gainful purposes" (
Read § 1619 BGB before you argue with child labor!
Okay, thanks for the hint. I was not aware of the paragraph.
So I pay for my clothes and furniture myself and also eat most of the food
