For Huawei mobile phones, there are only temporary licenses to use all Google offers. As far as I know, these licenses are regularly renewed. You would have to use a Google Huawei phone, which is not brand new.

The new Huawei Mate 30 mobile phones can probably not come on the market in Europe. Although Android would be available as an open-source system, but not in the usual, refined version including all Google services. There would simply be too much left to have any chances here in the market.

I think, under certain circumstances you would have to throw down the Google services and install manually. That should work in any case.

Did you already try this?

restart
Turn off mobile traffic and turn on the WLAN
Turn off the WLAN and turn on the mobile traffic

Then you can still see if your signal strength may not be sufficient.
