I had 89% last night, and now it's off and has 2%. How do you check which apps are running in the background? Cell phone: Huawei LYO-L21
Probably it is old and old Huawei always lose fast battery. Turn it off and plug it in. Overnight are always 7-10 hours.
That can be anything… Best set to factory settings.
Check which apps are running in the background:
At least for my android (no Huawei) the home button (bottom center) for about 2 seconds. Normally, all active or running apps appear in the background.
Whereby some apps (for example Whatsapp) are very consumption-intensive at the expense of the accumulator.
Disable all apps that are not needed or currently not desired by clicking on the cross in the upper right corner of the respective app.
As a precaution, additionally stop the self-installed apps via the Application Manager (Settings = gear icon> General> Application Manager).
Battery capacity of Huawei: With approx. 2200 mAh relative to the display size 5 inches relatively little.
Battery last night with 89% and lt. Asked after switching off today only 2%:
After the total device shutdown is usually no battery consumption. Therefore, this statement is at least partially incomprehensible.
Yet:
, As a first measure, fully charge the battery immediately. Deep discharges can't handle today's cell phone batteries.
When charging as a precaution also check whether there may be loose contacts on the charging socket. In such cases, the battery does not fully charge.
, Unfortunately in the question not said how old the Huawei or the battery are. Batteries wipe off over time. What a normal process is.
If the battery is already "older" (about 2 years) reaching the erosion limit would be no surprise. The battery needs to be replaced.
, If the battery is still relatively new (about 2-6 months) and without many charging cycles: Watch the problem encountered. After 2x occurrence of the same problem within a short time: = obvious battery defect. The battery needs to be replaced.
Can the battery be replaced yourself? Because of contradictory statements in web research (including say areamobile no, insidehandy in turn says yes) I can't answer that for sure. I myself do not know your Huawei model!
Reset the phone to factory settings (as suggested by another Girlfriend user)
You CAN do that, but without a guarantee of success. Et al Because an obvious battery problem is a hardware and not a software problem.
Hopefully the answer will help for now.
Many thanks
