How do I get a Nano SD activated on Media Pad Huawei X2?

I got a nanocard for my tablet / media pad because I need more storage space. Now I've put it in the slot, but I can't find it anywhere on the tablet. On the display when I call up the memory it says insert SIM card, but the nanocard is right there. Can someone help me? I don't use the Mediapad as a phone, so I haven't inserted a SIM card because I just want to expand the memory.

It would be great if you could help me!

Ja

Normally it should be recognized after a while… Have you already checked the file manager?

Ly

Thank you for the fast reaction. Under what can I find this in the file manager?

Ly

Traffic manager says "No SIM card"

Ja

I'm not so familiar with Huawei, sure that the traffic manager is the file manager? Where you can access all folders and documents on the memory?

Ly

Hmm… I don't have a folder called the file manager. I searched with a search function, but nothing… I'm now offline for 2 hours. Have to go.

Ja

It's not a folder, it's an app. Have a look: The file manager is probably simply called "files" under Huawei. Have a look if you have an app with this name (if not you can also install the file manager from the Playstore, file explorer is recommended). When you open this app you should find the folder "Internal Storage" on the top level, and ideally also "SD card". You can then move any folders and files from the internal memory to the SD card…

Ly

It shows me internal memory, I just can't find this nanocard. Would the Nanocard then be an external memory?

Ja

Yes, the SD card would be the external memory. If it is not displayed, try turning off the device, removing the card, reinserting it and turning the device on again. Otherwise the card may be broken. You can test this by simply inserting the card into another device…

Ly

I've done it a couple of times, but I'll try again. I just bought the card today. Shouldn't be broken…

Ly

It

Ly

It tells me card 1 and card 2 are not SIM cards. I can't tap it either. Is light gray and light gray is always that you can't choose. Funny, too bad.

Ja

SIM cards actually have nothing to do with the SD cards, except when the second SIM card shares a slot with the SD card. Is the card from a large company that is relatively official?

Ly

Yes, it is also a Huawei card, i.e. The same brand as the tablet

Ly

I have now fetched an SD card and brought the other back, now working.

Ja

With pleasure! Even if I couldn't be so helpful in the end, but nice that it worked!

Ly

Yes, but it's nice when someone shares thoughts. The statement (but also vague from the employees in the store was that "probably" the Nano Card would be a Simcard… But they wanted to tell me first that my tablet doesn't allow an SD card… Haha… I have it now but.
