What would you recommend?

I would like to buy a Huawei tablet, but I'm not sure which one.

(I want either the Huawei MatePad pro or the normal MatePad)

I mainly want to use the tablet to draw things on it, to study for school, to surf the Internet, talk to friends on the phone, watch films or series or to take pictures every now and then.

For your interests I recommend an Apple iPad. Not all of them are always 1000 euro expensive, they start at 300 euro. But for an overview:

apart from that, you can assume that your data is more secure with Apple than with Huawei.

I would recommend either an iPad Air2020 or an iPad (8th generation). Apple is simply the best when it comes to tablets.

Since neither of the proposed models have Google Play services, I would not recommend either device. I wouldn't recommend the Huawei tablets that still have Google Play services because of their age.

In general, Android is not the best tablet operating system either. This is particularly noticeable in apps optimized for tablets. Qualitative drawing and note-taking apps with pen input are also in short supply.

The tablet will still do its job. There should be hardly any differences, especially when it comes to media consumption.

Since pen input is important to you, I would recommend an iPad.
