brand first no matter if the phone convinced me, but samsung and huawei would be my first thoughts

I've been using a Schott cellphone for some time, like S4 or S3 mini, so I have a similar budget to you and I've been recommended by several Motorola brands, I'll get the G7. The Motorola cell phones are cheap and good. The G7 costs 300 euro
I also have the Galax A7 and I'm fully satisfied with it. The camera is great for the price and the memory is enough for me with its 64GB. The highlight for me is the display, but Samsung has earned its crown.
