Regardless of the price, which iPhone would you prefer? Iphone xs or xr? Or maybe even 8?
Please no comments like iphone is stupid. Take Samsung, huawei etc. That's kindergarten, which I do not feel like.
Please with justification.
Well, what do you want to do with the device?
Xs (without Max) has no particular advantages over the XR, it has a better screen but a poorer battery life. Both have a bigger screen than the 8 and are newer.
From the camera, the Xs would probably be the best, price would be the 8th farthest forward.
I have the iPhone X and am completely satisfied. Have me in the media market advice and the seller said that only the battery life and the camera are different.
Unfortunately, the iPhone x is no longer available. We also had advice. I'm unsure if xs or xr. That would be my first iphone. I'm afraid that it will break quickly
IPhones do not break quickly.
There are the following differences between the iPhone XS and the iPhone XR:
The iPhone XR is a slightly larger device than the iPhone XS. It measures the iPhone XR 6.1 "and the iPhone XS 5.8".
The edges of the iPhone XR are slightly thicker than those of the iPhone XS.
In terms of stability, the iPhone XR is better because it has a glass and aluminum design. The iPhone XS, on the other hand, has a glass and stainless steel design that is easier to break.
The cameras of the iPhone XS are better. The device has a 12 megapixel dual camera with wide-angle and telephoto lens. The iPhone XR, on the other hand, only has a 12 megapixel camera with a wide-angle lens without a telephoto lens.
The battery of the iPhone XR lasts longer than that of the iPhone XS. This is sometimes due to the lower screen resolution of the iPhone XR compared to the iPhone XS. The iPhone XS lasts up to 30 minutes longer than the iPhone X, the iPhone XR lasts about 1.5 hours longer than the iPhone 8 Plus.
The iPhone XS is water-protected for a depth of up to two meters for 30 minutes. In contrast, the iPhone XR is water-protected for a meter depth up to 30 minutes.
There's more choice in memory size configuration on the iPhone XS. You can choose from 64GB, 256GB or 512GB. With the iPhone XR against 64GB or 128GB.
The iPhone XR is available in several colors, the iPhone XS, however, only in three different finishes.
The iPhone 8 is recommended if not so much money should be spent. Otherwise, the prices of the iPhone 8 and the iPhone XR in the past and especially after the release of the iPhone 11 devices have more and more adapted. Because of this fact, I would at least recommend the iPhone XR. But if a good offer is found on the Internet, the iPhone 8 can be purchased without hesitation.
Here's Apple's "Compare iPhone" website, where you can select and compare different devices:

Thank you very much for this detailed answer. In any case, I will mark this answer as the most helpful answer. I would really like to have the xs because it is still in gold and the xr not. I also like the look in general and the technology more than the xr. However, the xs costs so much more. What would you advise? Do you think iphone will break quickly?
In terms of stability, the iPhone XR is better because it has a glass and aluminum design. The iPhone XS, on the other hand, has a glass and stainless steel design that is easier to break.
That's not true. Although in the polished stainless steel fine scratches are more visible than in the anodized aluminum, but of course the steel frame is otherwise much more resistant than that of aluminum.
But "broken" is usually not the frame anyway, but the glass. And the rear glass withstands more at the XS.
If the price does not matter, of course, the iPhone XS is clearly the best device of these, compared to the iPhone 8 even by a long way.
Benefits of the iPhone 8 are (apart from the price) only in lesser weight and smaller thickness, also it is slightly more compact than the XS. And of course, for people who do not want to say goodbye to Homebutton and Touch ID, there's another advantage in that, too.
Advantages of the iPhone XR are battery life and larger display - although the XS also offers the even larger Max version.
As I said, I would like to have the xs that it is outwardly beautiful and the technology is better. However, it is very expensive. Would my 1st Iphone
Compared to the XR, the better technology of the XS is essentially limited to the additional telephoto camera, the OLED display (which is a bit of a matter of taste), 3D Touch (which, however, barely plays a role with iOS 13 and the brand new ones iPhones is no longer available) and a more complex antenna system. Otherwise, XS and XR are technically closely related. With the XR you make sure not a bad purchase, if you are not too big.
The new iPhone 11 (not Pro) might also be worth a look. Also, you get cheaper than the older XS.
Even the now 2 years old iPhone 8 is of course still a wonderful device and just to have much cheaper.
It's best to go to an Apple Store and familiarize yourself with the devices. However, you will not find the iPhone XS there any more.
Unfortunately I do not like the iPhone 11 at all
Indeed? Outwardly, this hardly differs from the XR. Have you ever looked directly at the store?
Yes today. I would like to gold but that's only with the 3 ugly cameras
That's the much more expensive iPhone 11 Pro. If the XS is already too expensive for you, it will certainly be out of the question.
The cheaper iPhone 11 (with two cameras) is not available in gold, but in six other colors, there will surely be something for you.
Incidentally, the differences between iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro (Max) are essentially the same as between iPhone XR and iPhone XS (Max). Apart from the fact that the iPhone 11 Pro does not have 3D Touch.
Xr because of the longer battery life
First of all thanks BenzFan96, I always find it very commendable, if statements are corrected constructively. Regarding your question, Hallihallo816: The iPhone XS is not broken very fast, but a protective cover is always recommended. Both Apple and third party offer many options in each price range. This also protects against scratches or other finer damage to the housing. For a more detailed description of the resilience of the iPhone XS BenzFan96 has already written a good summary.
