I noticed today that I can no longer play YouTube videos on my phone in 1080p. It is set to 480p and sometimes even 360p by default. If I change the setting, nothing changes.
Can it be because of my huawei or does Youtube have some kind of error? Because my Google has been crazy for months… Really annoying, but that's not the point.

Should be a bug in your cell phone.
It shouldn't be up to Youtube, normally the 1080p (if the video allows it at all) should be selected as standard after clicking once. At least that's the case with me.
I also have Huawei and it works fine.
You can probably reinstall YouTube, if necessary reset your phone to factory settings…
It's not that bad. Get me a new phone soon anyway, because of the Google bugs. Let's see how it is then. Then I have to live with it first 😅

YouTube saves your data on a server, so only the cache is deleted or memory that is on your mobile phone, your videos and other things are not lost. You probably just have to log in again and everything will be back ^^
