For tablets there are the Wi-Fi-only versions and the versions with LTE (or 3G). You should have the Wi-Fi-only variant.
In both variants, you can access the Internet via WLAN / Wi-Fi. With the LTE variant, you also have the option of going online via LTE. There's only one SIM slot here.
