LOS lamp RED?

Phew, how do i start. I'm a total layman and actually have no idea. I've moved and my apartment is equipped with fiber optic cables from the cooperative. I need a modem to be able to watch TV at all. The Huawei modem was a long time coming, today it came. The power lamp. It's green, but when you go it flashes red… What does that mean? A connection error? What does Los stand for? That annoys me that I can't even watch TV. The technicians won't be out until the middle of next week. Or does something have to be activated first by the provider, in this case Gelsennet?

They have different "modems" or "connecting devices".

A device without a manual is a joke. Then search for the manual on the web or call your provider's hotline.

Find out what kind of Huawei device it is and download the user manual, it will definitely explain what a flashing "Go" LED means.

Here are instructions and manuals from Gelsen-Net:

PS:

Here the information from another provider, there's contact the service of the provider (Gelsen Net).

LOS flashes red? Check whether the fiber optic cable is correctly plugged into slot 1 on the OTO socket. If this is the case, call our customer service on the number.

If you have a PC or laptop and a LAN cable and you have the access data for the modem / router, you can connect to the LAN1 of the Huawei router.
And then the configuration page in the browser (as address 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.100.1 or? Is it in the manual or on the Huawei router… Sticker) … Log in and see what problems it reports (router log or system events…). Nothing breaks, you can watch!
