I have a Huawei Ascend G7. My associated charging cable has unfortunately broken, so I took a slightly older charging cable from me. It is a Nokia cable. Will my phone break from this charging cable as it is not from the same brand, or the cable may be too old for my phone model?

So basically does not happen, but it may be that it does not charge fast, because the old Nokia does not need so much battery power.
If you plug in the charging cable, and it just goes in, it's probably the same USB port, probably it's Micro USB, but if your Huawei is a newer phone, it may already have USB C, but then the charging cable might not fit.
The charging cable is old and from another brand, does not matter, I've been using since my cell phone, not even a brand charging cable from Samsung or etc.
