Macbook Pro 2015 or Huawei MateBook D14?

Which notebook would you recommend to me?
A reason would be very nice and helpful.

They are priced the same (600 euro)

Huawei MateBook D14 (NEW)
14 "1920x1080p,
i5 10210U,
8GB DDR4,
512GB SSD,
GeForce MX250,
Windows10Home
(Battery life realistic according to reviews on YT 5-6h video playback)

Macbook Pro 13 "Retina (Early 2015) (LIKE NEW, without defects)
13.3 "2560x1600p,
i5 5257U,
8GB LPDDR3,
128GB SSD,
Intel Iris Graphics 6100,
MacOS
(Battery at 100/1000 cycles, no idea how long the runtime will be)

It is used for the following:

Surfing, watching videos & films, often on the go (good battery life required), office editing, now and then picture and video editing (video editing for private use),

Both are used with external SSDs, so the storage space is not so relevant to me. It is more important to me that I have a reliable device that will run stable for about 4 years and that it does its job without any major delay.

I would choose the Huawei MateBook D14.

MateBook MateBook D14:

better CPU
better GPU
better RAM
bigger SSD
New

MacBook Pro 13 "(2015):

better keyboard *
better trackpad *
better speakers *

* probably

At the end of the day there's also the question of whether you want / need Windows or MacOS.

Mo

According to YT Videos, the keyboard, trackpad and speakers should be better with the MacBook. I have an iPhone and an iPad, so MacOS would be good, but more important to me is the stability of the device and how well it runs in the end. With Windows you should feel a loss of speed after a while, I've heard. I don't know if it's true, as I've only had older, used Windows devices so far.

Ba

With MacBook you should also keep in mind that it is already 5 years old. I don't know exactly what the update policy for MacOS looks like. MacOS Big Sur is available for the MacBook Pro from 2013. The big MacOS updates don't come that long. I don't know what security updates are like.

It looks different with the MateBook with Windows. It's newer and Windows has a different update policy.

I'm not aware of any performance losses under Windows.

The stability of the operating system may be better with MacOS.

I think the performance advantage of the MateBook will trump the great collaboration between iOS / iPadOS and MacOS.

In the end, it's your choice. My decision remains with the MateBook.
