I noticed a while ago that my Huawei P30 pro has a pretty bad camera, for example compared to my old Galaxy S8 and P20 pro.
I only noticed this a few months after the purchase. Selfie camera is always out of focus in room light (compared to the other two phones)
And the front camera has no really nice colors during the day.
At night, the front and selfie camera both have total problems. Completely out of focus.
I already went through all the settings and got advice from a professional.
But nothing helps.
Is the camera not as good as it is always claimed to be or did I just get a lousy issue?
No idea what you have, I think it makes very good pictures and the colors are not as unrealistically oversaturated as e.g. With the iPhone.
Try the Leica Vivid color setting, you might like the colors better. Or edit the images with Snapseed and hau bissl saturation and contrast pure.
I don't think the front camera is bad even at night with room lighting and certainly not out of focus. Either you have a Monday model or you try to take pictures in total darkness, which no cell phone camera can do particularly well.
Enclosed a snapshot unprocessed from the camera (HDR mode):
Hm… Then I definitely got a Monday model. Because, as I said, my two old cell phones, which I still have lying around, both make much better pictures with the same motif. And my friend's cell phone (also P20 pro) takes better pictures, so I often have him send the motif when I'm on the go.
