I would like to buy a new Android cell phone (current cell phone Huawei P9), but I can't choose a cell phone. The battery and the camera are particularly important to me. Currently I tend to the Oneplus 8 Pro or Oppo Find X2 Pro. In comparison, I took from the Internet:
Advantages of OP8 Pro: wireless charging, longer battery life, better photos in low light conditions for close-ups, optics (personal opinion / teal) and the price
Advantages of Oppo Find X2 Pro: Higher display brightness (better display recognition in the event of light), very high charging speed from the battery, better camera zoom and better selfie camera.
So I wanted to have a look around to find out what experiences you had with the cell phones mentioned and which cell phone you would recommend to me.
I look forward to your tips and thank you in advance.
I have the iPhone 11 Pro and in my opinion it is the best smartphone on the market because of the camera, software and the Apple ecosystem
I use a Samsung A7, it is very good and cheap, the battery lasts a very long time. If you want from Iphone then don't buy the iPhone 11! Better wait for the iPhone 12 if you have enough money.
I would buy the Xiaomi Mi 9T pro because of the best processor on the market, a very good triple camera and a selfie pop up camera
I couldn't make up my mind. I smacked you a comparison let's see what you say about it.
Mobile phones that are compared:
Iphone 11 pro
Samsung s20 ultra
1: Iphone 11 pro (own cell phone)
• Price: with a good contract = 1200-1300 euro
Result: very expensive
Points: 2/10
• Appearance: all colors of the 11 pro are matt, the frame made of stainless steel, high quality, a special feeling in the hand
Result: very nice
Points: 10/10
• Camera: 12 megapixel triple camera with ultra wide angle, wide angle and telephoto lens. Very useful in everyday life, but you have to deal with the structure of the functions
Result: recommended
Points: 9/10
• Battery / battery life: with constant use during the day, 10-11 h, own experience, very stable battery life, with low use 2 days without charging
Result: very strong battery life
Points: 10/10
• Functions / structure of the apps / appearance of the home and lock screen:
The 11 pro has preset background images, there's no always on display, when setting the background you have to hope for luck that it will not be displayed too large. As always, the settings offer an orderly overview, many options to restrict or allow something. The night mode is all black, simply a plus in terms of health and appearance.
Result: expandable, wait for IOS 14.0, we can expect many improvements
Points: 6/10
• Updates: The updates are supported by Apple on the cell phone for a long time, for example the oldest hand that is still getting updates gets the 6 Plus
Result: excellent
Points: 10/10
General score: 47/60 = approx. 78%
2: Samsung s20 ultra
• Price: with a good contract, around 1400-1500 euro
Result: very expensive, more expensive than the 11 pro
Points: 1/10
• Appearance: four different colors that can be recognized elegantly and with a slight sheen, unusual but new colors
Result: varied
Points: 9/10
• Camera: The ultra wide angle has a terrific quality, the 100x zoom technique is also very, very recommendable
Result: terrific camera function, simply constructed, perfect shots in everyday life
Points: 10/10
• Battery / battery life:
The s20 ultra lasts up to 35 hours when not used intensively. With intensive use 10h. Very stable battery life, however, information from users of this cell phone circulates that the battery does not last as long as promised.
Result: very stable runtime, but this news makes you think about it again
Points: 9/10
• Structure / function of the apps / layout of the home lock screen:
The night mode is very nice. The structure is classic in Samsung style. The backgrounds are reproduced very realistically. The settings are very structured, everything is orderly.
Result: nothing to complain about
Points: 10/10
• Updates: Samsung doesn't support updates on devices for long. After 3 years, updates are over or the quality is reduced. The updates are generally very good and assure us of new functions.
Result: nothing to complain about except the non-permanent support
Points: 7/10
General point count: 46/60 = approx. 77%
Conclusion:
Both phones are really recommended. The camera functions, the night mode, the variety of colors and the battery life are very stable. However, the prices are very high. I would therefore only recommend these cell phones to people who do not want to switch from Samsung or Apple to another cell phone.
These are definitely 2 very powerful phones! The S20 is said to have dropped considerably in price, but I'm concerned about the battery, as you have already written. Even with little use, it should sink quite quickly compared to other cell phones in the same price range. For me, the battery is the most important thing next to the camera. Wait and see, it is assumed that updates will improve it. Otherwise, the equipment of the S20 is great. A purchase of the iPhone 11 Pro currently only keeps me from the very high price and that I'm used to Android as an operating system.
I can absolutely understand. If you have a new one, report about it.
Do you live a bit in the past?
The Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro has a Snapdragon 955.
Then there's the 955 Plus.
The Snapdragon 965 is currently in use.
So nothing with the best processor on the market.
The camera is not that great. Had a live comparison with my cousin on Sunday.
One lives in the past and the other in the future.
Even if the devices are not cheap, you should also consider the price.
The OnePlus 8 Pro is by far the cheapest. It is available for around 854 euro. Even in the larger version with around 950 euro, it is even cheaper than your alternatives.
The basic versions of the Oppo Find X2 Pro and the Galaxy S20 Ultra are similar in price. They cost about 1,118 euro or 1,140 euro. The S20 Ultra only has 128GB internal instead of 512GB.
The S20 Ultra has to devalue something in your rating because of the Exynos (instead of Snapdragon). The performance and efficiency is much worse compared to the Snapdragon.
You should also include the software in the selection. The OnePlus 8 Pro uses OxygenOS, the Oppo Find X2 Pro uses ColorOS and the S20 Ultra uses OneUI. You have to know what you like or dislike.
With software updates, OnePlus is very quick in the area of new Android versions. Something behind in the area of security patches. Only every 2 months and mostly a bit delayed.
Samsung is very slow in the area of Android versions. When it comes to security patches, especially flagships like the S20 (Ultra), Samsung is well ahead. The patches come monthly and usually very early after release.
Samsung and OnePlus should be similar for the duration of updates.
At Oppo, I have no closer insight.
That's right… It should be called 855 and 865!
But the 8 is also damn close to the 9.
In my opinion, the camera is the best on the market
