Turn off Google News & Co huawei p smart?

Have since yesterday brought a new phone and as with any new device are power guzzler on it. For example, the news from Google. Unfortunately, I find no instructions how I can turn it off / off.

Do not call. If you have already called it, slide left out of the screen.
Press and hold on a blank field in the start screen, then
Select settings (bottom right) and
Turn off Google feed.
