Cell phone dropped into the water, but goes back to days?

A week ago my phone (Huawei P20 lite) fell into the water, got it out, dried it and put it in rice for 24 hours. When I turned it back on, the display flickered and did not work after about a minute (buttons and touch ID still went). Has also flickered for several days in which I used it to transfer data and did not respond. When I turned it on tonight to transfer my remaining data, it went again. The touch reacts again and the display does not flicker anymore. Can I use it again or could it only be for a short time and it has to be a new one?

Maybe there was still some moisture in it, which seems to be gone now. Nevertheless, I would insert the phone again in rice, that is certainly not wrong. I think that after a few days you will be able to use it again.

Should it still break, you probably still need a new phone.

I also have a cell phone fallen into the water and except for the back button, everything works so far again. Guess that with you as far as everything is okay again. If new data does not arrive daily, I would go on with the old thing. For sure, you can never be that any micro-part has noticed one and the phone but still goodbye.

I think you can use it again! Good that you put it in rice! Sure, a lot of moisture had gotten into the cell phone, so it took longer.
