Hi, I own a Huawei p smart 2018 and today I updated to Emui 9.1. I had 7 or so before. Now the entire layout is bright and I wanted to switch on the dark mode again, which I used before the update. Now, however, I can't find it anymore and none of the Google results have led to anything.
Does anyone have the same problem and solution?
I don't know how to do this in the settings but you can install an app called Dark mode then you have dark mode everywhere
I have Huawei, but I have no idea about the versions. In any case, it is the case with me that if you swipe down (where there's also brightness) then it is like a button
Unfortunately I don't have it with me. There's only one eye-protection button that filters blue light

EMUI 9 is based on Android 9. Darkmode was only half implemented there.
From the Android perspective, dark mode is only available in the developer options. There you can activate the dark mode (perhaps also called night mode), which is taken into account by most compatible apps.
Huawei may have added this option to the display options.
Funny, I can't find the dark / night mode anywhere. Not even in the developer options. What surprises me is that I haven't made a system update since 2018 and have always been able to use dark mode. Now it doesn't seem to exist on my phone anymore.
