Huawei p20 only one speaker works?

I had recently bought the Huawei p20 (so no pro and no lite) and I noticed that only sound comes out of the lower right speaker. What is the left side for? Or is my phone broken?

Audio output via built-in speaker is mono. That's the case with many Huawai smartphones. You only get stereo over headphones.
