So often I have the situation that I would like to capture a moment in a picture and share it with my friends, but the photo is just bad and disappointing.
So I thought about getting a camera. But the fact remains: with the smartphone, I stay much more mobile and can take spontaneous pictures.
So I tend to buy a new cell phone with a strong camera.
At the moment I own the Huawei P20 Light and I'm really not satisfied with the camera. Resolution and color fastness are not the real deal, and the camera can only cope with dark lighting situations very poorly. It is this granular resolution in the dark that breaks many pictures.
I heard that Huawei's P40 Pro is supposed to be really good when it comes to the camera. How do you see it?
Is there a cell phone camera at all that could replace a common camera?
I would be really happy about tips, recommendations and assessments!
Mobile phone cameras are very good for SLR cameras today. I have both and there's no big difference. The newer iPhone models take all 1A photos
Iphones have pretty good cameras. Some Huawei devices too.
I have a Samsung (A5 2017), the camera is not that great (no comparison to a really good camera) but it is enough for me, in good light the cell phone camera takes pretty good photos.
I'm also "blessed" with a Huawei P20 and I can tell you that many smartphones have a better camera than ours. My friend's iPhone SE makes e.g. Far better photos, although it is already out of date. I assume that all newer iPhones take even better pictures.
The P40 Pro probably has the best camera, the Nokia 9 Pureview isn't bad either.

What do you mean by a common camera? Otherwise, a cell phone can't replace a good camera. This is not possible due to the size alone.
So first of all, I can only recommend the channel mrwhosetheboss, which does very good, objective tests and also camera comparisons.
I recommend the Huawei P40 Pro, which is actually the best. Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is also right behind it. Samsung S20 Ultra isn't bad either, but the Exynos version for Europe is a lot worse than Snapdragon.
Then you have a very old camera or can't handle it.
He probably photographs everything with the little green A
I didn't even know where the automatic on my camera was. I don't need that either and I wasn't interested.
Thank you, the statement mentioned was perhaps a bit misleading, but it wasn't that important either, since I'm away to buy a single lens reflex camera. I'm very positive about the P40 Pro, thanks for the assessment.
My condolences. I'm currently leaning towards the P40 Pro.
I have both and there's no big difference.
I think that's a rumor, or will you take only normal snapshots with the SR camera?
You will never (technically) take pictures with high exposure times with a cell phone.
IPhone is ranked 10th if not even lower in the ranking, https://www.dxomark.com/...ne-reviews.
