Car does not connect to smartphone via bluetooth?

My car can't be paired via Bluetooth, the car can find my device (a Huawei P30 Lite) but it is probably not compatible with my vehicle. I also tried an Apple smartphone -> exactly the same problem. I can't find anything suitable in the manual. Can you help me there? What can I do?

You switch on Bluetooth normally on both devices and then search for the other device with one of them and then pair.

You almost always have to enter a PIN, usually: 0000
