EBay classified ad, trust someone from Italy

Moin, I put my old Huawei P10 in a classified ad. Someone from Italy has written me on my phone number but I should contact her email. She would transfer the money to my account but I'm not sure if I should trust her. Scrollshot attached to the conversation

Cu

Why should one not be trustworthy from Italy? O_O

So I sell internationally and also buy internationally (Italy, France, Czech Republic, etc). So far no problems!

Ka

Because I would have to give the person my account details. And that someone from Italy sees my classified ad also surprised me. I can z. B. Search only in Germany

So

Actually, this is bad as in these modern times, the mistrust and fraud in sales have made their entry.

Originally, the shops were so: first deliver goods, then payment!

This has worked in astonishingly many cases, without any problem.

Unfortunately, this seems to be very different today, at least you have the impression, but without really knowing if it really is.

To your question:

If you - and with such an amount that is certainly not unjustified - have doubts about the opposite, or their honesty, then I would simply not do the business!

Normally, as has become customary in the case of cash in advance and if you wait until the money is actually received in your own account, and then delivers the goods (so even honest is!), I see for the seller, so you, no risk!

Ja

Yes and? You want money, then you have to have your IBAN. What else is he supposed to do with it, except to transfer money to you? He can't just take something off.

Er

He can't just take down anything…

Quite right, but this misconception is not just not to be eradicated in infancy, but even in adults.

Er

Your ignorance of IBAN and your childish fear of telling someone is more than laughable, but you do not have to worry about it.

In any case, inquiries from abroad to Feld-Wald-Wiesen-Händis are only aimed at ripping off the seller.

You will then receive a message from the "bank" of the buyer abroad that the purchase price is ready and will be immediately transferred to you after you have shipped the goods and the "Bank" have communicated the tracking number.

I do not need to mention that the "Bank" message was made with Photoshop or The Gimp.

It's an age-old scam, but on a daily basis idiots fall for it. Not only immature teens, but also dumb adults.

Cu

Where is the problem? My account details and bank details are on my website and stationery. Allows the customer to transfer money to me. No more and no less!

Ka

If I order something on the Internet I need only specify my iban and it will be deducted without any verification being done. Then I have to complain again and in the end I get the mail because I have the person even my address.

Cu

But then a "direct debit authorization" is needed! You have to give it first!
