My old cell phone (Galaxy J6) had a 3.5 jack connection, which I could use to connect to stereo systems without any problems. Now the new cell phone only has the Type-C connection, where I need an adapter, I suspect. Will the cable in the photo work for the car? Do Huawei cell phones have a DAC chip or do I need something external that converts the signals
All you need to do is plug the USB plug into the cell phone, and on the other side your headset, headphones, whatever
Only one connection cable to the system analogue in this Ub-C adapter cable ready
but it won't work with the car.
I have a new Focus Ford BJ 2019 so I can go directly to it with USB and play it.
Jo but I'm afraid it won't work
So does the adapter work?
I have revised my answer again. Because of the "AUTO"
Ok, my car only has an analog jack input, so I think it won't work if the cell phone is digital and the car is analog
Why then? I've been using it with headphones for 2 years
As you may have already read, there are two types of jack adapters.
One is the pass-through adapter that uses the DAC in the smartphone.
The others have a DAC in the adapter to increase the compatibility and also the audio quality.
The DAC of the P40 is connected to the USB Type-C port. You can use both types. It doesn't have to be an adapter from Huawei.
You can't tell from the outside whether the adapter has an integrated DAC. You can't make a statement from the picture.
I have read some comments that it does not work on Amazon under the adapter
Oh, Huawei has integrated it, luckily. Then can I connect any cable?
The adapter is only a replacement for the missing jack connection, nothing more. If you connect it like that, it works like a handle
Yes, you can buy any adapter.
Then you only need a jack plug on both sides goes to the adapter
