Does quickcharge also depend on the cable?

I have a quickcharge USB socket with 24W for my huawei mate 10 pro, which supports 22.5 watts of charging. I now wanted to know whether the quickcharge only works if I also have the right cable:

For me it charges faster than the old one, but only by about 500mA.

Yes, the cable must also support QI. Take a look at the cables from Anker, most of them support this.
