Which smartphone is the best?

My question is which is the best and most durable smartphone. I need a new one that has a strong battery and the software also has to be fast, because I have to work a lot on my mobile phone at work. My current phone is a Huawei MATE 10 lite and I'm not that happy with it. First of all, the Wi-Fi connection is almost always lost by itself and secondly it is slow and thirdly I get different messages or not at all.

It's not because of the wireless router, he's new, got a router. The reception is always very good to good, had it checked by Telekom.

It is probably due to the mobile phone, because it has not made any updates for about 1 year and often crashes in the middle of it all and flies out of the program and I'm back on the start page. Often times it turns itself off and on again. It's really annoying.

If you could give me tips which phone is currently the best, except for Huawei!

Me

Is the display important to you?

Then iPhone 12, XS or X (the battery from the last two is not very good)

If not then

iPhone XR, iPhone 11

Om

There are new tests for smartphones every few days. And if you have to "work" a lot, you buy a tablet, which is much more practical and of course you can also make calls with it.

Bo

There's not, if you ask me, THE best mobile phone, just one that meets most of your needs.

The best thing for me is Sony but that doesn't match what you need.

I would now spontaneously advise you to use Samsung. I (also) have an s10e at home, the performance is great, it's very fast, very personable to write and I've never had problems with the Wi-Fi.

But it has a small "catch". I can't really call the battery strong, since every Sony has been better so far. Especially when you get below 20%, you can no longer assess anything. It has also fallen from 16 to 3% within less than a minute.

But that doesn't happen if you have over 20%.

I think you have to weigh what you're most likely to poop on and what's priority.

Bo

I find a tablet too big and unwieldy and not necessarily faster than a smartphone. I prefer to carry a smartphone around with me every day.

But your thing.

Sa

The problem with Samsung is the weak Exynos processors, which are far behind Snapdragon models in terms of performance and efficiency. And Samsung sells almost only phones with Exynon's processor in Europe.

Sa

So people who talk on the phone with a tablet are just laughable to me.

Sa

Price limit?

me

About 400 euro

Sa

I recommend the Google Pixel 4a. While there's the Poco F2 Pro in the class, which is pretty much the best phone for the price, the Google has some advantages:

You get very long updates
Best camera in class
Headphone jack

Fairly average processor, but if you're not playing games that's not a problem.

If the processor and a larger display are important to you, then the Poco F2 Pro. It even has a popup selfie camera and a large battery.

Sa

However, Poco also has a headphone jack and 5G, although the Pixel also has a 5G - which is a bit more expensive.

me

Thank you for your prompt reply. I don't play games on it, just work and chat 😁 a large display, yes, absolutely. It has to be durable. Battery and function are very important. I use it without a SIM card because I need two cell phones

me

Thanks for the quick and good answer

Sa

Would the Pixel 4a be big enough?

me

Thank you very much

me

Have not seen me yet, I'll do it later and check it out on the internet, thanks

Bo

I just googled, right, is an Exynons in there. I mean, easily fast enough for my feeling.

But I can't judge how your use affects the whole.

However, the S10 has a Snapdragon inside, if I'm not completely mistaken.

me

And what about the XIAOMI Mi 10T Lite 128GB, is that good or not so

Sa

As far as I know only the US version.

Bo

I haven't looked now.

But my cell phone (without Snapdragon) is also very fast. I really have nothing to complain about when it comes to speed.

Sa

Is also very good, but has 120 Hz only LCD instead of OLED display. It just depends on what is more important to you. 120 Hz instead of 60 Hz ensures a smoother multitasking, OLED is better in terms of contrast and colors because its own pixels can be switched off, while with LCD these are only dimmed. This means that an OLED or AMOLED display is also a bit more battery-efficient. Processor is between the Pixel and the Poco in terms of performance.

Sa

You may not notice it, but battery efficiency is also a factor. And that's where Samsung simply loses compared to the competition.

In my opinion, the iPhone has a good, simple and fast operating system.

My iPhone 6s, which launched 5 years ago, is still getting updates. The Wi-Fi works wonderfully.

Up until 2-3 years ago, my father still had his iPhone 4s, which came on the market 9 years ago, and then passed it on to his sister, who is still using this phone now. The last update for this phone came out in July 2019.

I see the only weakness in the battery. But that's what USB cables and batteries are for.

You can buy the https://www.pctipp.ch/tests/iphone/test-apple-iphone-se-2020-2532861.html for 400 euro.

If you want I can help you with iTunes, iCloud and all that too.

me

Is there a memory card for storing pictures and videos?

me

It is very kind of please gladly look forward to any help. But you can also operate an IPhone without a SIM lock, i.e. Only a WLAN connection and a slot must also be available for pictures and videos. I want to insert my memory card

Sa

Only with the Mi10T Lite

Sa

The Mi10T Lite is also very new, so you will get updates for a long time

Sa

By the way, have you already tried to reset your cell phone? Maybe that will help with the Wi-Fi

me

Yes, I reset it and set the WLAN to automatically optimize so that it automatically switches to another channel if one channel is too skipped. I had always done that with two predecessors. Before that I had a Sony and Alcatel.

ti

Do you only need the space for the memory card so that you have more storage space or so that you can use the data on multiple devices?

If the latter is the case, do you think that if you can upload the data online to a cloud, you still need a place for your memory card?

me

I prefer both things

ti

What do you mean by both

Cloud and memory card or mobile memory card and storage space expansion?

Which of my questions are you referring to?

ro

Sony has very little to report on the smartphone market these days and overslept a number of trends that other manufacturers are already banking on. Are mostly too expensive for what is offered.

Samsung has not even remotely threatened the competition until 400 euro. The Exynos processors in their devices beat everything up again.

me

A slot for the memory card to expand the storage space. Regardless of the storage space on the phone

me

I would prefer both 120 Hz and an OLED display

Bo

I use old Sonys, I don't like the new one either - and the price-performance ratio is more than terrible. As a matter of fact.

Sa

I understand. Then maybe the Mi10, but costs a little more (from 480 euro)

That has a 90 Hz AMOLED screen and also the Snapdragon 865. Has good specs but no SD card slot. The same for the OnePlus Nord for 400 euro, which has a slightly weaker but still good processor.

me

120 Hz and an AMOLED display and memory card slot. Is there such a cell phone

Sa

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, Sony Xperia 5ii, Oppo Reno 4, Huawei P40 Pro are devices that have these properties.

See: https://www.gsmarena.com/...layTechs=2

me

Would you recommend the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE to me and what can you say about the battery?

Sa

As the only Samsung recommendable because of the Snapdragon processor. For the battery, it's best to take a look at reviews.

me

Does the battery last longer than the Huawei MATE 10 lite and is it better because of the processor, I do my multitasking? The battery of the Huawei Mate 10 lite lasted about 1 1/2 days with little use

Sa

It should, yes.

me

Would you recommend the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G to me?

Sa

If Samsung then this. However, the OnePlus 8 or even more so the 8T is even better.

See

me

The OnePlus 8 or 8T does not have a slot for a memory card

me

I will probably buy the new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G, which is my tendency
