Why can't I let my google assistant know?

For example, according to the Google Support website, I can tell my assistant "Remember my keys are in the drawer next to the sink." If I say that or just say that, my assistant will only suggest the Google Support page that's written.

Everything should be up to date. There's an app 'Google Assistant' in PlayStore but I did not install it so I guess the latest system update is meant
