OpenOffice 4.0.1 - unknown graphics format?

I'm a riveter in terms of technology, files, etc., so I have a question

I wanted to transfer a photo from my cell phone (Huawei) to my PC. Everything went well. When I selected Insert> Image> from file and then the respective image at OpenOffice, I get the message "Unknown graphic format". And after so much research, I still don't know what I can do.

Can someone help me there?

Install https://www.irfanview.com/, use it to open the graphics file, and save it as a jpg file. You can insert a jpg file in OpenOffice.
