I'm a new iPhone user (always before Samsung, Huawei, etc) and today I got the notification that my Icloud storage is almost full and then I read what I can do on the Internet.
I've now deleted my backup and removed pretty much all apps from Icloud… Is that harmless?
And what about "photos"? Can I remove this from Icloud without any problems? Because it says something like "30 days time…"… Then what happens? Will all of my photos be deleted?
Hope you can enlighten me a little… What is on the Internet doesn't help me very much 😅
You can save your pictures in iCloud. This is in case your device breaks or for cross-device use with other Apple products.
But this is not absolutely necessary, you can also deactivate it. Your photos will not be deleted, they will just not be uploaded to the cloud when it is full.
Thanks for the detailed answer! 😇
If roughly speaking there's an external storage device for your data, should your mobile phone be lost / defective, it will be reset because not all of the data stored on the device is gone.
