I ordered a new laptop last week, namely the Huawei Matebook D15. Has 256GB SSD and 8GB RAM, of course Windows 10 operating system. Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with laptops or computers, I have a few problems with this thing in this regard. I wanted to download Csgo and I get a message that allegedly I have no more storage space available. The part is new and the only things I loaded on it are Steam and Firefox that can't be. Then I checked the drives, clearly Drive C is almost full, only 14GB can be used but Drive D is still completely free with 142 GB and 23GB, the game only needs to update. I tried to rearrange everything so that everything runs on drive D in the storage settings, but somehow still nothing works… Does anyone know why?
The Steam library is by default on drive C. You can select a new folder for the Steam library on drive D in the Steam settings under "Downloads" → "Steam library folder". You can then select the folder when installing CS: GO.
Thanks for the answer,
but where can I open a new folder for downloads?
For downloads at the top on "Steam library folder" and then on "Create directory"
Okay, so now it worked with the folder, which I also set as the default, but when I click on the download I still get the message that there's no free space available
Did you also select the folder during the CS: GO installation? Sometimes the old one stays selected even after you've set the new one as the default. Otherwise I don't know why.
