My wife accidentally adjusted the display on her Huawei tablet, so that all images are alienated with a strong bluish tint. Unfortunately, she no longer knows how that happened. She thinks she clicked something wrong when unlocking the device (swiping down or down). Does anyone here have any idea what could be the cause?
Look at the settings if there's a night mode, there's usually a rather bluish light used to be easier on the eyes at night.
The night mode should not cause a lot of blue, but exactly the opposite, which is why it is often referred to as a "blue filter":
The color temperature is shifted from the cold (blue) to the warmer (reddish) area, because studies have shown that too much blue light suppresses the production of the "sleep hormone" melatonin.
Does it really only affect pictures or the display in general?
If only pictures: Is that the case with every app or only with one, such as. The gallery app?
If you display images in another app (e.g. An alternative gallery app such as Google Photos or completely different apps such as Instagram, messenger apps, etc.) or just the preview image of the camera app, do they all have the same blue cast?
If everything is affected in general, I would go through everything in the Android settings under "Display", because there's often a setting option for the display color temperature or display calibration. (Since I don't have a Huawei device, I can't say for sure if there's something like that at Huawei and what it's called exactly)
Now I do not know how something like this should happen when unlocking. Gross color errors can also be the result of contact problems with the internal connections to the display, but that would affect everything without exception, even the boot logo.
