Yellow spot on the display - dangerous?

I threw my Huawei p10 Lite on the floor out of anger. I know that was a really stupid action, but I'm fine again and nothing else happened, happened happened. I wanted to switch my cell phone on again and saw that my reflection on the black, switched-off display had been somewhat consumed. The cell phone itself is now minimally curved, but I have a cell phone case anyway. I then switched it off and everything is working perfectly. Then I discovered a small yellowish spot in the top left and researched what this probably means. Probably just one LED failed or several. My cell phone is already several years old and in itself it does not bother me at all, I'm very satisfied and also like to use my cell phone with blemishes.

My only concern: I didn't find anything directly on the Internet, but are these changes dangerous to health? So is something in my cell phone seriously broken and shining or something? Maybe that sounds a bit irrational and fearful. That's just my personality.) For example, asbestos is only toxic if it is damaged. There's probably no asbestos in the new cell phones or maybe that has never been the case, but hopefully you know in principle what I mean. If someone knows about it, I would be very happy if someone could enlighten me.

I thank you very much in advance!

No fear. In a cell phone is not dangerous to health as long as you don't eat it or lay right next to you while sleeping.

So without a picture it is difficult to judge whether the display may be broken… But there are no LEDs that could break.

An LCD consists of two thin glasses and in between there's liquid crystal… If you damage the glass / LCD, air can get into the liquid crystal and it can look like a stain… But as I said, I should just see it there I once worked in LCD production during my studies.

Look… Maybe it looks something like this?

Enjoy your meal…

Ch

No, it doesn't look like this

Li

Ok, that's a good thing… Then there are probably only a few spacers crushed between the glasses, that can also cause stains, but if it doesn't bother you, it's not dangerous.

Ch

I don't know how to share a link here, but if you type in "yellow spot on cell phone display" and look at the pictures, you get a good picture of what it looks like.

So a yellowish spot, not too intense and relatively small

Ch

Would it be dangerous what can be seen in the picture you sent?

Li

Ahh ok… I've seen what you mean… It's not that bad, such a light stain can be caused by heat or pressure and is not dangerous, just looks stupid, but it's not dangerous… Neither for you nor for Mobile phone…

However, if it were broken, the way I sent it to you, it would be bad, because the air would spread over time and could expand over the entire display until you had no picture and the liquid crystal became leak.

But as I said, what you mean is just a small visual blemish… Don't worry about some:-)

Ch

Thanks for the feedback!;)

Li

Very happy:-) LG, Mika 🌼

Does the stain look like the picture?

If so, then the layers separate from the display, this is the adhesive that becomes visible when the display gets warm, which is not hazardous to health.
