Real Talk! I've been waiting for the Fortnite Mobile version since March 2018. When I heard in May that Fortnite Mobile is coming out in the summer of 2018, I was happy to see the beta come out at the end of August and now 5 months have passed Version is still not out and many devices have not been added anymore.
Does anyone know (DO NOT believe it?) But know if Fortnite Mobile will be there in 2020 or 2021, or in 5 years, if the game will work well on mid-range phones. Because I have a Huawei P20 Lite and I have neither a PC nor a console and therefore always have to go to friends to gamble, maybe I'm only once a month with a friend.
I do not know the answer to your question, but believe me! In 5 or even 3 years nobody (including you) will play more Fortnite.

Nobody can look to the future. Smartphones are getting stronger regardless of whether flagship, middle class, etc. Unless the game is demanding, you will not have any problems.
How old is CSGO? 6 years. Does anyone else play it? Yes.
Is CSGO Fortnite? No. Fortnite is a trend game and trends do not last very long.
No, but CSGO and Fortnite are both PvP games. Did you think that in 3 years nobody will play anymore and now you say something about trends? So. Yes, well…
On upcoming middle-class devices, the game will definitely run. These are better than the P20 Lite with the slightly older Kirin 659.
The big problem with Fortnite Mobile is the integration of the graphics unit. Even with different devices with the same graphics unit (SoC), this has been implemented differently. There's also a relatively large variation of processors. The whole thing leads to performance losses, which is not necessarily always present in mid-range devices. Therefore, Epic Games is working with Samsung to optimize this integration.
The problem with RAM is similar. Each manufacturer regulates the management differently. The one manufacturer may be used more and the other less, although enough RAM would be there.
If the device limitation is no longer in it, you should be able to install the game and probably start. The gameplay experience (maybe 15 FPS) will probably not be good, so it will not be fun either.
Fortnite is a challenging game that needs its resources.
On a finished PC for 300-400 euro, you can also badly play Triple-A titles like the older GTA 5. It just lacks the power.
