I would like to use my old smartphone (Huawei p9 Lite) as a surveillance camera via a specific app. Now I have switched on a timer for charging the cell phone. I have set this approximately so that the battery is always charged to 100% and then discharged again. I stopped charging because I don't want my phone to go out. Now the cell phone always charges to 100% for half an hour. Since I'm sometimes not at home, I'm afraid that the cell phone will somehow burn or something similar. Does anyone know anything about it?
