Apple has made the display edges very thin at the bottom of the iPhone X, right and left.
Only the notch we have. But if you now look at the LG G7, Oneplus 6, Huawei P20, Google Pixel 3, the bottom of all still have a visible display edge, about as large as the S8 / 9.
Now my question: Will not the Android manufacturers the display edges thinner (the lower edge of the display) or would it be much more expensive to manufacture, to minimize the lower edges as with the Iphone x?
I think that's because of the symmetry. The "notch" sees, in my opinion, besch… Aus. Since I find it much nicer if the top is simply a narrow edge. But if you imagine that there's an edge at the top but not at the bottom, then it looks (in my opinion) terrible.
Samsung works as far as I know on fingerprint sensors and other sensors that you can build underneath the display, which would require neither a margin nor a "notch".
PS: One note: The iPhone X displays are from Samsung.
Apple is developing these fingerprint sensors
Samsung had filed patents for it several years ago. One had suspected that with the S9 already azf the market comes.
Can't get it? Haha haha …
That would be much more expensive and simply unnecessary for the price.
The sensors were originally developed by BKK Electronics. They then sold them to Huawei and Vivo. Other manufacturers still refrain because this technique is still not fully developed.
Under this lip, the plug from the mainboard to the display is on all mobile phones. Apple just bent the Dsplay down so there's no lip to see. However, this process would be too expensive for most manufacturers
