Problems with mobile data abroad (Aldi Talk). What can I do?

I need your help, please.

Currently I'm on vacation with my wife in the UK.

She uses a Huawei Mate 10 Lite and is a customer of Alditalk.

Now she has a problem which (at least according to internet research) has many. For her, the problem is a little different.

She has no mobile internet. It has internet in the WLAN, telephone calls also work smoothly.

We're submitted via Holland in the UK. There, her Internet has worked quite normally. Since her smartphone has dialed into the British network, the disaster began.

The mobile internet is always gone… Then we use various "tricks", which sometimes make sure that it works a maximum of 5 minutes again. Then it turns out again.

These "tricks" are, for example, off and on again the roaming, off and on again the mobile data, or "playing around" at the APN.

Currently we're using (unsuccessfully) the manual APN data as specified by Giga ("ALDI TALK: Setting APN Settings (Internet Access Point)").

Aldi I have already written, but I'm afraid that I do not get a satisfactory answer and this probably only after the holiday.

I hope that I could explain the problem sufficiently and someone can help me.

I would be very grateful and send greetings from Liverpool.

I would have tried to change the mobile network. As roaming customer you have the free choice.

You option is besides the settings for the APNs. It should call itself network provider. There the automatic selection should be deactivated first. Then he searches for all accessible networks. It could take a few minutes.
It's best to test all networks there and stay the best.

Thus you can change as an example with Germany from the net of the Telekom into the net of Vodafone. As it may be known, network expansion is different everywhere.

You could have opted automatically into the better network, while your wife's poorer network was chosen.

The AldiTalk "contract" should already support LTE. If not it could be that the 2G or 3G net is not so well developed / dismantled and therefore no good net is attainable.

Many thanks for your response. I have screened them as a possible solution.

Actually, the mobile data (I knocked on wood) is currently working. As if by magic, there were no more problems in the last 36 hours from now on. Let's see if it stays that way.
